My Neocolor II Water Soluble Pastel chart

126 colors can be overwhelming so I made a chart with small samples on both white and  black papers.Chart Neocolor II.  In the pdf file, scroll down to see the various pages.

I hope that you will try this wonderful crayon-shaped pastel that has no dust because it’s wax based.  These are water soluble too.  For more information, read Mona Majorowicz’ blog

Neocolor II Wax Pastels

Click on Neocolor II above for a link to my reference pdf file for Caran D’Ache Neocolor II colors.  I scanned the manufacturers tiny color chart that I did not find very useful because of its very small size.  I needed to make a workable color reference chart.  After making the chart, 126 colors no longer felt overwhelming.  Take a look. This week, in Northern Virginia, the sun did not come out but in my studio, my spirits were lifted by the glorious color.  Tonight the forecast is snow but it’s only a backdrop to the colors of the rainbow in my hands!
